How does laser tattoo removal work?
The appropriate laser energy is directed at the tattooed area for a fraction of a second, passing harmlessly through the outer layer of the skin and targeting the tattoo directly. The laser pinpoints the ink and breaks it into tiny particles so that the body can absorb it and break it down naturally. This is by far the most practical method for tattoo eradication.

How does it feel?
Laser tattoo removal feels like a rubber band snapping against your skin. The feeling is compared to having the tattoo done. The advantage is that it takes a fraction of the time for each treatment.

How many treatments are needed?
The removal process takes a period of time that can be broken into stages. There are several factors to take into consideration. Size, location on the body, age of the tattoo, number of colors, type of pigment used, tattoo application, and the body’s immune system. Your body will break down the pigment at its own individual rate. It is common knowledge that amateur tattoos respond faster than professional ones.

After the first treatment
Some people have experienced results with complete fading, while others may require a few visits for this to occur. The reason for this is because of the previously mentioned factors surrounding the tattoo itself.

After the second, third, and fourth treatment
You’ll notice the darker colors having significant fading and the brighter colors such as red and green gradually lightening.

Treatments five through twelve (if needed)
After five to twelve treatments the tattoo may be completely cleared. Most of the ink will be dispersed and absorbed by your body. Your tattoo should be barely visible or not visible at all.

How much time will I have to wait in between treatments?
Usually a client will have a treatment every 30-60 days. Keep in mind the longer period of time between treatments the better. The reason being is that it allows the body’s scavenger cells to do their job and digest the fragmented pigment.

How do I get the best results?
Most clients are thrilled after their first initial treatments. At this point some clients may decide to have a new tattoo put in the old ones place or continue with the removal. With a new tattoo the main benefit is that the right tattooist will be able to create the perfect tattoo without compromising to darker cover up tones. Some clients who choose to undergo the middle removal treatments may grow a little impatient. It is important to remember that not every session will have the same effect. Though the process remains consistent your body may react differently from treatment to treatment. For optimal results follow our trained staff’s instructions as closely as possible. This will assure removal over the most optimal amount of time.
